Your Data, Your Choice

You have the right to delete your data at any time. This page explains how to delete your Douglas account and all associated data, as well as how to revoke access to connected services.

Delete Your Account

To delete your Douglas account and all associated data:

Option 1: From the App

Open Douglas → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will immediately delete your account and all stored data from our servers.

Option 2: Via Email

Send an email to team@cedardynamics.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address associated with your Douglas account. We will process your request within 48 hours.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our servers:

  • Your account profile (name, email, photo)
  • All message history (WhatsApp and in-app chat)
  • Stored Google OAuth tokens
  • WhatsApp phone number and messaging configuration
  • Household settings, family member data, and preferences
  • AI memory and personality configuration
  • All stored files and notes

Revoke Third-Party Access

In addition to deleting your Douglas account, you may want to revoke access to connected services:

Google Calendar Access

Go to Google Account → Security → Third-party apps and remove Douglas to revoke calendar access.

WhatsApp

Delete the conversation with Douglas in WhatsApp and block the number if you no longer wish to receive messages.

Deletion Timeline

  • In-app deletion: Immediate. Your data is deleted from our servers right away.
  • Email request: Processed within 48 hours of receiving your request.
  • Backups: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently purged.
